Ok, so technically he's not exactly built like your average football player... I guess he could pass for a quarterback perhaps?... But that's besides the point...

Place a couple shirtless guys looking like this on the field and I think one of my fantasies might just be fulfilled ... Absolutely beautiful...

A wolf tamed for a cause...

Dashing, sophisticated, masculine, and downright gorgeous? Is this really the same half-humanoid/half-wolfman who's made a name for himself playing the wild yet loveable feral beast these past two years for the Aussie National Rugby League ?

What difference a clean shave and the vision of a brilliant photographer the likes of Pedro Virgil can make.... I'd say the transformation has indeed been quite remarkable ... So much so even Hollywood's started to take notice...

For those of you not familiar with this man by now... well, I welcome you out from under your rock hiding place... (I kid of course )... But I'm pretty sure Mr. David Williams's gorgeous face has been spotted here and there by now? He's of course only one of a select few prominent players featured in perhaps one of the hottest rugby hunk calendars since... well since the early days of French Dieux du Stade's classic rugby hotness .

David's transformation from bearded rugby wolfman to (arguably) hottest rugby player on earth was of course best captured in the complementary 'making of' DVD released back in mid-may...

Admittedly he kind of comes across like a loose cannon, but I guess at the end of the day, that's part of the appeal as well ...

Both the Gods of Football calendar and 'making of' DVD benefit the McGrath Foundation for battling breast cancer. A worthy cause no doubt, and ultimately rendering the hotness founder herein pretty noble in its endeavor...

The Gods of Football calendar can still be purchased through Amazon, along with the 'making of DVD' (which incidentally became available in the UK early last month). The DVD itself really speaks volumes as to just how powerfully built rugby players are... and were it making the case as to whether Rugby players are in fact the hottest athletes on earth, I think it's succeeded on that front as well .

As for Mr. Williams himself... Just Beautiful ...

Beneath the Gear

I'd like to say we're seeing the best side of Welsh rugby player Shane Williams here, but that would be crass... So I'll just leave it unsaid... yet make an allusion to it... without directly stating it outright... while trying my best to subtly insinu- ah what the hell. This shot is gorgeous.

Perhaps our Brit friends have seen it on a massive billboard while driving around over in the UK? If not then odds are you've seen this version... or perhaps maybe this version... or just the beautiful one posted below featuring Scottish swimmer Gregori Tait...

Way back in January Powerade debuted an Innergear campaign highlighting the key to an athletes success coming from the inside rather than any supplemental equipment (in this case of course, namely clothes)... Suffice to say I couldn't agree more . You can check out the actual commercial itself for these ads here.

New Poll

I'll try to avoid turning this into an actual long-running theme seeing as there's eventually a couple posts I'd like to make pretty soon (not related to sports photography)... We'll see how long that lasts ... But yeah, as you might've noticed, there's a new ongoing poll over to the top left. The question this month?... Well, one of the perks about finding guys attractive and being into sports is that you get the best of both worlds. Healthy/fun/competitive activities featuring the hottest guys on earth (or at least the most physically in shape )...
